Reviews Element from Max Addons for Bricks Builder allows you to display real business reviews from Google and Yelp directly on your Bricks Builder website, with no need for manual copy-pasting or writing custom code.
This element helps you build credibility and trust by showcasing authentic customer feedback in a beautiful and customizable format.
All you need is your Google Place ID, Yelp Business ID, and a valid API key. Once configured, the element will automatically fetch and display reviews on your WordPress site.
Getting Started#
Before using the Reviews element, make sure the following plugins/tools are installed and active on your site:
How to Add the Reviews Element to a Page#
- Open an existing page or create a new one in the Bricks Builder editor.
- In the element search bar, type “reviews”.
- Add the element to your page.
- Check the “MAX” label in the top-left corner to confirm the element is from Max Addons.
Once added, you’ll find customization settings organized under two tabs:
- Content
- Style
Content Tab#
Content Tab for the Reviews element is divided into six sections:
- Reviews
- Layout
- Filters
- Review Details
- Image
- Rating
Each section provides you with complete control over what content is displayed and how it’s presented.
REVIEWS#
Choose your review source from the following options:
- Google Places
- Yelp
- Google + Yelp
Depending on your selection, you will need to provide:
- Google Places
- Google Place ID
- Language Code (e.g., en, fr)

- Yelp

You can also set how often the element should refresh and update the reviews: Hour, Day, Week, Month or Year
LAYOUT#
Control how your reviews are displayed on the page.
- Skin: Choose between Classic or Card view.
- Layout: Select either Grid or Carousel.
- Columns: Define number of columns for the grid layout.
- Spacing: Adjust space between review items.
- Random Order: Enable this option to shuffle the review display order.
FILTERS#
Filter the displayed reviews based on:
- Minimum Rating: Show only reviews with a specific star rating or higher.
- Review Date: Sort reviews by the date they were posted.
REVIEW DETAILS#
This section gives you detailed control over what parts of each review are visible.
Reviewer Image
- Show Image: Toggle to show or hide reviewer profile images.
- Image Position:
- Left of the Reviewer Name
- Left of All Review Content
Reviewer Name
- Show Name: Enable or disable the reviewer’s name.
- Link Name: Turn the name into a clickable link to the original review (if available).
Star Rating
- Show Star Rating: Toggle the star rating display.
- Review Source Icon: Choose to show a small icon indicating whether the review is from Google or Yelp.
Review Date
- Show Review Date: Display the date when the review was posted.
Review Text
- Show Review Text: Display or hide the actual review content.
- Text Length: Limit the number of characters shown.
- Read More Text: Customize the label that expands the full review (e.g., “Read More”).
IMAGE#
Customize the reviewer’s image appearance:
- Image Size: Set the profile image size.
- Image Border: Add and style a border around the image.
- Image Box Shadow: Apply a shadow effect to the profile image for added depth.
RATING#
Style the rating stars according to your design needs:
- Star Icon Style: Choose between the default icon or a custom one.
- Marked Icon:
