Author List element for Bricks Builder allows you to display all authors on your website in a single, organized layout. It is particularly useful for multi-author blogs, online magazines, news portals, and content-driven websites that want to showcase contributors.

Getting Started#
Before you begin, make sure the following are installed and activated on your WordPress website:
Author List element comes with the following features:
- Grid and List layouts
- Query options

To start using Author List element:
- Edit your page using Bricks Builder.
- Search for Author List in the elements panel.
- Add element to your desired location on the page.
Author List element settings are divided into the following sections:

Query#
Query section allows you to control which authors are displayed on the page. This section includes the following options:
- Source: Choose source used to fetch authors for the list.
- Include Roles: Display only users belonging to selected WordPress user roles.
- Exclude Roles: Exclude users belonging to specific user roles.
- Exclude Users: Manually select users that should not appear in the author list.
- Number of Users: Control total number of authors displayed.
- Order By: Choose how authors are sorted.
- Order: Set sorting order as Ascending or Descending.
Author Avatar#
Author Avatar section contains all settings related to author profile images.
- Avatar: Choose avatar type for authors. Available options include: Default Avatar (Gravatar), Image and Icon
- Avatar Size: Adjust size of author avatar.
- Link Avatar To: Choose destination when visitors click on author avatar.
Note: Available options may vary depending on selected avatar type.
Posts Count#
Posts Count section allows you to display the total number of posts published by each author. This section includes the following options:
- Posts Count: Enable or disable post count display.
- Posts Count Text: Add custom text alongside post count.
- Post Type: Select post type used for counting published content.
- Typography: Customize typography settings for post count.
- Background: Apply background styling to post count.
- Border: Customize border style, width, and color.
- Margin: Adjust spacing around post count.
- Padding: Control inner spacing within the post count area.
Fields#
Fields section allows you to control information displayed for each author. You can:
- Add fields
- Remove fields
- Rearrange field order
This makes it easy to create simple author lists or detailed contributor directories based on your requirements.
Layout#
Layout section controls overall appearance of author list. Two layout options are available:
Grid Layout#
Grid layout displays authors in multiple columns, making it ideal for:
